Welcome to my flute site!
I began making Native American style flutes several years and several hundred flutes ago, and grew bored making musical tubes. Now, I'm striving to make playable art. I normally immerse myself into the study of something, until I'm able to attain my personal best in that endeavor, and then move on to study something else. Flute making still has be in its grip, because I'm also studying wildlife carving and painting techniques. I then try to find a creative way to apply these skills to flute making. I-LOVE-playing these flutes!! What I lack in natural ability to play, I make up for in volume, frequency, and enthusiasm. My neighbors pretend to be angry, and send prank calls to the police to make me stop playing. Sometimes I play the flute at campsites in the Cascade mountains, and perfect strangers will somehow collectively decide to leave camp because they're overwhelmed by the beautiful sound a native flute can make....at two in the morning. Yep; I love making and playing these things. This is currently a hobby for me. I'm retired and I can devote a great deal of time to making and playing flutes. Every once in a while I'll offer a couple or more for sale, in order to buy more and better tools and wood. Beyond that, I'm using this page to show what i'm doing so far, and I can direct my friends and family members to this site to better illustrate what I'm talking about when i say I make flutes. Soooo, come on in and have a look-see. Wipe your feet and don't track sawdust in from the garage; otherwise my wife will scream at you as she does at me, for no good reason.
